Types of scam #3: Membership Monopoly Scam

Hey, guys, 05louieAJ here and Jetstar11103!!! :D We are (sort of) confronting a scammer, which I will explain later. Well, we have decided to bring up the types of scams again, so here we go with the first one in a really long time!

Someone attempts to do the MMS. Forgot username. Left because nearly everyone left.

So, this types of scam lesson is about the Membership Monopoly scam. Can you see where this is going? I hope you can. Or else you're stupid. Just kitting! :)

Well, the Membership Monopoly Scam is usually used by members. I'll explain why. It's when a person scams you into getting a membership. Someone who did that scam is Neontrees2012, and that's the only one I know of.

Here is an example: So you are in Coral Canyons, being normal, when someone starts yelling, "Come to my den if you want a -any tipe- Membership Code!!!"

You are a non-member and you instantly go, because you have been trying to persuade your parents for at least a 1 month membership. Once you go, the scammer comes to his den. He has a necklace on trade and says: "Okay, if you trade me a rare of any kind you get the code.

You are a scammer watcher, so you don't fall for it. Another person trades a rare. Everyone leaves but you, the scammer, and the person soon going to get scammed. The scammer says, "Okay, here is the membership code..." She pauses for a minute. You and the person getting scammed waits for it.

Now, this is where the path turns. He/She can either give you a FAKE membership code of just happen to leave with your items. I am going to explain both ways...

#1: "Okay, here is the Membership Code..." She pauses for a minute. You and the person getting scammed waits for it. "jsoasn38w9." The "scamee" logs out to try the code and so does the scammer. The Scamee comes back and tells you that the code didn't work. You tell her that the scammer logged out and took your items.

#2: "Okay, here is the membership code..." She pauses for a minute. You and the person getting scammed waits for it. Then, she leave before you can even say "Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore." The Scamee puts on a sad face emoticon.

That is how to identify the Membership Monopoly Scam!

If you or a friend has had someone scam you with the Membership Monopoly Scam, let the AJSB crew know! If it's a true scam or a Happily Scammer After, tell us!!! :) Write the date, the whole story, the person who scammed you, and (If you want to) you or your friend's username. You may be lucky enough to have your story on AJSB!! :D

"Always."
